.My classroom is full of students who come from diverse backgrounds with unique circumstances that require individual approaches to learning. In one school day, I see students who read below a 7th grade reading level to those who are academically advanced and every ability level in between.
One fact reigns true for all students: each and every student thrive academically when they are provided with classroom materials that are high-interest and relevant to who they inherently are.
It has been proven time and time again that students connect with classroom materials that reflect a human experience that they can relate to. As an educator, my goal is to cultivate a classroom full of seekers of knowledge, but many students struggle to find books that they desire to read. It is my dream to provide my students with the book that sparks a life-long wontedness to read. Can you remember what that book is for you?
