Our classroom is one that strives to celebrate the diversity we see within each other and within our world. I would love to give my students specific texts that highlight characters from a variety of races, cultures, backgrounds, and familial structures.
We want books in the hands of each child in our virtual program.
A variety of books help the children develop proficient language and literacy skills. These skills are crucial for a child's success in school.
I have also included art supplies, such as play-doh. Being able to use hands on manipulatives, such as dough, will allow students to re-enact stories, use their imaginations, and role play.
