Please consider funding a second monitor for me so that I can make 鈥渧irtual鈥 eye contact with my students while teaching and be able to teach them more successfully. Currently, while I am teaching, I am unable to see my students in our virtual meetings, because I have to have the lesson open on my computer. I am unable to see their reactions or their questions until I switch my tab back to the virtual meeting room. Constantly switching between tabs is ineffective for my students because they struggle with staying engaged if I am constantly interrupting the lesson to check in on them. Being able to see my students on one screen and present on another would help to increase their learning because I would be able to answer their questions and see their reactions immediately, addressing their concerns and helping the learning process flow more seamlessly. It is not only difficult for me to teach when I can鈥檛 see my students, but it is difficult for them to learn. I don鈥檛 feel my students are receiving the best education because of limited resources. I am hoping to receive a second monitor to increase my ability to help them learn at the moment. A second monitor would also provide the ability for me to work more efficiently, allowing me to give more time to focus on each student and their individual work throughout each day, not just during our live lessons.
