Integrating hands-on learning into the virtual classroom is a top priority for our classroom! Hands-on learning will help students develop their fine motor skills as well as increase their enjoyment in school. The students in my classroom are beyond eager to learn and excel! We would greatly appreciate your donation!
Teachers, parents, and students are all going through the challenge of adapting to the new distance learning situation.
I want to ensure that my students are still meeting all of their educational standards from home even if we are not face to face. In order to do this, I need access to materials and resources that can be used to transform my lessons into the virtual classroom!
Students will use the resources like paint and Rekenreks to get hands-on learning at home! We do a lot of computer work but believe it is important for students to build their motor skills by applying it on paper as well.
Students will use the read alouds to build community during this difficult time. The virtual tools will allow me to connect with my students by recording read alouds and sending cards to each student. Written communication is going to be necessary during this new way of teaching and learning. Building a community and have that involvement is so important in this time, and can help students in all areas- economics, support, and more!
