A dramatic play center in the classroom allows students to explore different roles within the center. Role-play helps students develop crucial social-emotional skills needed to communicate, problem solve, and provides freedom to express themselves. Students not only are able to increase cognitive skills but also strengthen motor functions and coordination through play and many other skills needed.
For many of my students, this is the first time they are able to explore sharing and getting along others . The development of this skill is vital during the primary years and establishes a solid foundation for the next stages of development, continuing well into adulthood. By donating these items to our dramatic play center, you provide the tools needed to help my students reach their full potential.
