The advanced-level math courses I teach require students to use graphing calculators almost on daily basis. It is imperative that a child has access to one of these devices whenever working on class assignments, be it in class or at home. With the retail cost of these calculators being what it is, many families struggle providing their child with such a device. Making sure all my students are successful, I strive to close the gap as much as possible. The effects of a possibility of having a class set that I may check out to students in need of such a device are immeasurable.
