My goal is for students to express their creativity by designing projects related to the curriculum. Not only does hands-on learning help students understand concepts, it encourages students to think of problems and solutions in the real world.
Research shows that STEM/STEAM/makerspace/design challenges develop independent thinking, encourage collaboration, build creative problem-solving skills, utilized real-world application, and now there is a significant amount of research in the medical field that has suggested that art — and, more specifically, being creative — is useful for our mental, emotional, and physical well-being!
In order for this project to reach as many students as possible, I am looking for a way to make it mobile (and adding whiteboards to the back to teach from).
