Math interventions support our students who are struggling with their whole class math instruction. In small groups, we are typically able to talk more, see more, and move more math. Remote learning has presented a true challenge for our intervention support. In the classroom, we would be manipulating counters, solving problems with dry erase boards, and playing games together. Now, I am trying to modify our games, scrounge together manipulatives to send home, and keep students engaged in hands-on math over Zoom! It's a challenge, but I want my students doing and seeing the math! This Ðǿմ«Ã½ project would allow my students to have more manipulatives at home to touch and move, and the document camera would allow me much greater access to being able to model math, move math, and make math meaningful for all of my students.
