Life is stressful for everyone right now, especially for the student's in our low-income district. Now that we are back in the classroom, let's give these students something to smile about! This project will give my students the option of flexible seating to increase focus and participation during their speech lessons. They need to move their bodies up, down, and all around. On a daily basis, our goal is to give each child ample opportunities to move their bodies, dance, sing, jump up and down, etc. At times though, we work with the children to learn spatial awareness and expectations when completing certain tasks. For some children, this is a breeze. Other children, though, need a little extra support! Currently, our speech room has traditional seating options that are not preferred by all students. The flexible seating will allow our students to realize they can sit AND learn! We appreciate all your support and dedication to our students.
