My goal this year is for all my students to enjoy reading and be able to read a book on their own. I want them to enjoy reading not to think of it as a chore. At this time they don't want to read because they don't understand CVC, sounding out words etc. I am hoping the students will be inspired to read at home and read books that interest them such as dinosaurs. All my students are excited about new information that I read/share but are unable to read themselves.
