The sensory kit will help me develop centers geared towards learning to read. As a first year teacher, I am trying to utilize every resource, manipulative, and strategy possible. Most of my kids cannot read but are close. I know this sensory kit will help push my students to being able to read.
The whisper phones will make reading to yourself more exciting. It will allow them to hear what they are reading, which will increase comprehension and helping them to self correct while reading independently. There is nothing like seeing the excitement in somebody’s eyes who has just read for the first time!
