I want to have my students enjoy new and popular books at home. I want them to start their own little library that they can access any time of day and on any day of the week. During regular school sessions our kids rely on school libraries for books. Since March many kids have had no access to books due to the pandemic. Many families are struggling and books are an expensive luxury for many. The books the kids receive in my class will not only bring the joy of reading and literature to them personally, but they will be shared by other family members. They will be read by parents and a story time tradition will be started in homes.
