I teach in a low-income school area where over 90% receive free or reduced lunch. I have always bought my own school supplies for my classroom, but it gets expensive. Please help us start the year off write by providing the kids with pens and pencils. I also included masks because so many of my kids forget their masks. I will never turn down a kid who needs supplies. Supplies are always theirs to have if they need them. Students should always be presented with options to succeed. Give a kid a pencil.
