The material will be used to introduce books, sight words and most importantly expose them to phonemic awareness to get them ready to learn to read! Reading books to children exposes them to cultures, and topics and can help increase their comprehension skills. Sight word games can expose to them frequently seen words in the books they are hearing and starting to read. Lastly, phonemic awareness games can help prepare the skills they will need to learn how to read. The goal of this project is based around the skills Kinders will need to start learning to read.
