Most of my students have difficuty sitting to attend due to sensory needs or deficits in physical development. The flexible seats will help my students to participate and attend during group lessons or circle time.
My students require use of hands on materials, visual supports, manipulatives and motivators to help them learn, comprehend, and particpate actively in lessons.
The felt board will help to organize these materials in an accessible way for the students for a multitude of lessons such as calendar, story time, math lessons and more! The white board will help those students who's writing skills are still emerging and who require an elevated surface to be more successful in writing.
The dot book will allow for at home engagement as well as an in school activity to help with carry over of skills being taught. The colored bins will allow for organization of each child's individual program materials and data collection materials. Each child is assigned a color allowing them more independence in identifying and retrieving their materials.
Lastly, the tablet, my students require many modalities and use of sepcific reinforcement strategies to learn. The tablets will help motivate students, help them learn new concepts through educational games, and can also function as a much needed reinforcer to make progress with their educational goals.
