I am the gen ed social worker for Sherwood Elementary. It's THE BEST job in the world. I get to spend my days with amazing kids, helping them regulate their emotions and building them up. Even more, I get to help families navigate the early years of their child's education and help align them with resources they may need. I love using Donors Choose to support initiatives in my building. Through you, we've been able to fully furnish calm down corners in EVERY classroom. We've brought social-emotional books to Sherwood that are used in weekly lessons. We're working on bringing a washer and dryer to help take away the worry some of our littles carry about having clean clothes for the school day.
