I would like to provide my diverse learners with literature that they can relate to. I would like texts that are rich in cultural values, lessons with rich language, illustrations and engaging stories. I want my students to strive to develop their English language while maintaining and developing their native/home language. I want my students to know that I value their backgrounds, cultures, and languages while exposing them to texts that are relatable, and some bilingual. I would love for my students to open up further while exploring these texts by connecting their background knowledge to future learning and sharing.

About my class
