The materials will be used every day in my classroom. I teach math and the way I have found that help support student learning would be working on whiteboards. When I do whole-group teaching, the students will be shown a problem and they work either by themselves, or with a partner on solving the problem on their whiteboards. The students will hold their boards up with their answer so I am able to assess quickly if the students understand the concept.
I also meet with students in a small math group where they bring their whiteboard and dry erase marker to my back table. I am able to break apart the concept to help the students understand better. This way they are able to work the problems out and I can easily see where they might be struggling and provide the needed support!
