During our next unit of study, we will be reading about and discussing racial injustice. Although we will be looking at many different types of texts, including poems, lyrics, and images, Maniac Magee is our main text for this unit.
In this new and ever-changing virtual world, having our students be able to flip through an actual book at home would be amazing for them and for this unit. Having our students have access to a book would make this lesson so much more fun, meaningful, and as close to the classroom feel as we can get!
