Time and money are two concepts that most second graders struggle with. Students needs hands-on experience to really grasp these math concepts in 2nd grade. Having individual clocks will allow students to explore time and have a hands-on experience. Having jumbo money will allow me to display it on the whiteboard which then will allow the students to easily follow along a lesson and increase student engagement. Having ten frames for my struggling students and RSP students will allow my students to organize their counting. All these math manipulatives will increase student engagement and allow my students, especially my struggling and RSP students, to have a hands-on experience.
