My students are hardworking students with Attention Deficit Disorder, Autism, and/or Specific Learning Disabilities like Dyslexia and Dyscalculia who need extra tools at school to be successful. Many use read aloud and accessibility features regularly that require durable headphones that can be kept at school for ease of use.
Several students are struggling with executive function skills that cause them to forget headphones and calculators. Many are lower income students who cannot afford quality materials. I would love to have materials like calculators and headphones easily accessible in the classroom so they don't have to worry or ask when they need to use accommodations due to their disabilities.
