Every year I teach my students about color theory. How to mix colors, what colors work well with other colors, and how to use color to show emotion in their artwork. Tempera paint is great to learn how to paint.
This year, the only way to teach these lessons is by giving each student their own set of tempera paints so that we can reduce the risk of spreading the coronavirus. This will give them the chance to experiment with color and learn painting skills, whether at home or school. Students love to paint, and I hope that I can give them the opportunity to create with paint this year.
