A few days ago, I read a multicultural book to my students during snack time. The book focused on people of different ethnicities, backgrounds, and abilities, and how their differences make them who they are. This opened up an amazing in class discussion about how even though we are all different, we all have a different purpose, and we all matter.
I want to use these multicultural and emotional books to spark more conversations like the previous one with my students. These students can make connections to their lives, and that allows them to learn and grow to become better members of society.
