Due to the nature of the classroom, my students need hands-on activities to comprehend the curriculum they are learning about. The students come from diverse backgrounds and have a variety of disabilities. All students are capable of learning and comprehending the curriculum. An interactive solar system, cross-section Earth model, and rock collections will allow students in Special Education to have more realistic hands-on activities and learn about the Earth and Space. The materials will not be used at home. Each item will be used with the corresponding lesson regarding earth, space, and rocks and minerals.
