When students have their needs met, they are more likely to come to school, complete their work, earn their credits, and graduate from high school. Having snacks for my students provides me the opportunity to build positive relationships with the students on my campus. These positive relationships provide me the opportunity to inquire with my students to see if they need further services with food, house, electricity, water, and basic needs. When a student has their basic needs met, they come to school willing to learn, participate, interact, and graduate.
