These books will continue to enhance the diverse and positive classroom that I strive to create. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy. I have been told many times that they wish to see more characters that reflect who they are. Though my students are young, being represented in reading matters to them. They want to see people like them succeed and their stories are told as well.
With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to enjoy what they are reading and at their grade level.
They will also be able to choose books that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. My students are currently excited to read independently, and I know these books will be an exciting new step in expanding their learning minds. My students are able to check out books from my mini library to take home for a few days and come back and tell me about their books, and by adding to that library, they will be more eager to take their reading home.
