As students are learning engaged in distance learning at this time, the way they come to class is on their Lenovo tablet. Students are getting all their instruction over this device and show all their work on it too. As this is a tablet, it does not have the ability to be angled down as a child does their work, unless a parent is right next to them to manipulate the tablet and show their child's work. Unfortunately, many of my students don't have someone right next to them to help out.
The magnetic ten frame boards and counters will allow students to manipulate the counters and hold the boards up to the tablet camera to show their work! This will allow me to see if they truly understand the concept of one to one counting, making sets with objects and cardinality.
