All students enjoy reading independently, with a friend, a parent, as well as having someone read to them. Scholastic News magazine offers monthly grade level appropriate text with amazing topics. Students receive current events about the world and are fascinated.
The magazine is vivid, interesting, and engages students thinking. As a teacher, I can enhance the reading with asking reading comprehension questions, creating a story map, and doing a writing activity.
The online version (tool) is Great! Students who need extra support in reading can access the audio tool for reading.
