I am requesting hoop painting kits and silk scarves. Many students just know the world of creating art through pencils, and paints. However, there is another world of fabric arts that is very exciting and can open their horizons to creating their own expressions through dying clothing and materials. They will create their own image with wax and dye, on their silk scarves, and hoops. They would not be able to experience this on their own or afford the supplies for one individual project. But together we can bring it to their homes. Right now my students are struggling with engagement and individual feelings and expression during this time of COVID. I would like them to get off electronics and use their hands and minds creating an expression of who they are and what they are feeling.
