In my cart, I have a few tools that I think will enhance our student learning environment both here at school and virtually at home.
We would appreciate your support in our ELA classroom. My ELA team and I constantly use our Expo markers until they are dry - sometimes the students can't even read the board and we have to throw out the marker and get a new one to go over all the words with!! Our school gives us access to Expos, but not at the rate we are flying through them! I have pulled books that will allow students at home with no Internet to continue their independent reading. There are reading tools to help students focus by blocking out the lines above and below the line of text their reading, tools to help me and my ELA team create a supportive and welcoming environment to foster learning and social-emotional balance. We read excerpts from "They Cage the Animals at Night" during our memoir unit and "Stargirl" during our character unit. These are new novels that I pulled this year and the students really enjoyed them. I put a few other books in my cart for students to have a choice! I tried to pick books I thought my boys would be into because it's hard to get a 13-year-old boy interested in reading!
I just want my students to enjoy coming to school and feel comfortable and supported in my classroom. The Cricut is in my cart to create bulletin boards that are interactive, personalized rewards for great work and behavior, and to create labels for easy organization for my students!
Thank you for considering our request. We are excited to hear from you!
