This project is to bring awareness to the world around us. We live in an area without a lot of diversity and I feel it is important to expand student knowledge to the world around us. No matter the skin color, hair color, ethnic background, it is important for all students to feel connected and have a sense of belonging. The books in this project will help my students connect to others who may be different than they are. I am excited to build my classroom library with books that open doors to the world around us.

About my class
