One of the student's math practice standards is use tools appropriately. The focus of my project is to have the appropriate tools available for my students to use in the classroom, or available for student check out if we transfer to distance learning. The calculators that I am requesting are easy for students to use and navigate and are not a distraction to learning as graphing calculators often are at the middle school level. Having a stylus available for students to use makes mathematics easier to do on the chromebooks. A good compass to use for constructions will help to avoid frustrations of a moving pencil when trying to create arcs and circles.
