My students are constantly asking for snacks throughout the day. They sometimes arrive late to school and miss breakfast; for others, the breakfast is not enough to make it to our late afternoon lunch period. Hunger is a big problem in our school. Some children receive all their meals for the day at school. No one can learn or focus on an empty stomach. Being able to provide snacks will keep my students focused so they can concentrate on learning. This project includes a few snacks that my students love and like chips, granola, cookies and crackers. With food readily on hand, the children can have a snack or small meal and be ready to get back to work.
