Have you ever had a book touch you? When we read, we are able to connect with characters, experience new things, and see the world in ways we haven't before. Reading can unlock empathy, teach you how to mourn, and show you what it's like to overcome.
Through your support, students will have amazing books to read with others. Sharing the reading experience and growing together through reflective conversations will grow them as readers and also as analytical people. Students will be able to have a hard copy of a book for at home reading during this time as well as in class reading when we are back in school. Book clubs, or shared reading, can unlock meaning and help students learn the qualities of a thoughtful reader.
