Everyday technology is used within our classroom. Our parish has provided each student with Chromebooks or iPads in order to complete daily work. This is great for our students! However, as teachers, we do not have a portable device to be able to better assist our students. We have one stationary computer in the room. Having an iPad, I will be able to walk around the classroom more often, assisting students and be able to cast what I am working on to the smart board. I currently teach math where I draw many area models, place value disks, and standard algorithms, which can be challenging to do on a board.
Having a tool like an iPad would allow me to prepare and easily access helpful materials from online resources and my Google Drive files, connect wirelessly to our Smartboards.
