"I use watercolor to give voice to what I would like to talk about." -Jerry Pinkney
Our students are going through so much during this new normal. We are watching students pull into themselves and not want to talk. They are learning to shut themselves in so they don't have to deal with everything happening around them. The arts are a way for them to express themselves in a safe way. They can create a piece of art and journal. They can express all the fear, anger, excitement, frustration and sometimes joy on paper. Through art; with pencil, paper and paint they can begin healing their soul.
