With the school year rapidly changing how I get to meet the needs of my students, while in the virtual setting, it is incredibly difficult. The whiteboard in my classroom is hard for most students to see while on our Zoom calls and sharing my screen only works so well with my finger as the guide. During our Zoom math lessons the Apple Pencil would be used to work out problems such as shading pieces for fractions or writing 3 digit by 3 digit multiplication problems . I will also be able to use it during writing lessons to show students subject and predicate or underlining proper nouns while we aren’t physically in the school building.
I believe an Apple Pencil will be the tool to drive my lessons home to give my students a meaningful education during a time of chaos. I want to be able to provide as much as possible the kind of education I’ve provided while in the classroom, while they are with me virtually. With so much unknown I want at least a part of the school to be worthwhile for each of them.
