I am requesting a monitor and cable. Due to the pandemic, my second grade friends and I meet each other every morning via our computers. All their cute, little, toothless grins are in boxes that resemble the opening to the old TV show The Brady Bunch.
In order to keep my friends excited and engaged in learning, I incorporate songs, videos, graphics, educational games, storybooks, and slides while teaching. It is difficult to see my students eye to eye while presenting lessons. A split screen must be implemented in order to teach and see my friends.
When I split the screen between the children and the lesson, the children tell me the images are difficult to see. The children move very close to their computer screen to see the lesson better. I worry about the strain on their eyes and opt to make the lesson larger on the screen. Then I can鈥檛 see my friends and make eye-to-eye contact with them. It is very difficult and troublesome situation.
Your donation of an ASUS 24鈥 monitor would enable me to see my friends excited faces while sharing the lesson. The cable mentioned above would allow me to connect the monitor to my laptop. Then my friends' beautiful faces could be on the monitor while I share the lesson on my laptop. Plus no eyestrain for my friends! This would bring a personal connection and cheer to my friends and myself during a difficult time. Thank you for your consideration.
