Wow! What a year. This class has been through a lot and we are only in the first trimester! I am their new (permanent) teacher and I am looking forward to getting the students started off with some fresh school supplies so that they can learn from home with me. I also plan to finally decorate their plain classroom with a bright, jungle theme!
I plan to do weekly art lessons that are specific to the content we are learning. We are starting a unit about the solar system, which will be a great chance to use our new colored pencils to create diagrams of the planets! In Social Studies, we will be learning about Native Americans and their typical dress, so watercolor paints will help the students understand the natural colors used with their clothing.
