Learning in the classroom looks different in a pandemic. A lot of the movement and collaboration have had to be minimized to reduce risk. Flexible seating options, like the ones chosen in my project, allow kids to get the movement their bodies crave while still being able to focus on their computers/assignments.
Giving students choice in seating allows them to have some control over their environments. This is especially important in times like these that can feel like everything is out of control.
I have a wonderful bunch of 5th graders and I would like to offer them choice in seating and options that allow them to better focus and engage in learning.
