Currently we are working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students and caregivers in a variety of grade levels and schools throughout the district. We have determined the best practice for real time interpretation is to work with two devices simultaneously. One dedicated to the Google Classroom and one dedicated to ASL access. We have identified specific technology needs in order to enhance our provision of services remotely. In addition to real time interpreting we have been asked more and more to prepare accessible videos which include ASL interpreting screen in a screen, as well as closed captions.
