2020 has really kept the education world on our toes! We are teaching in-person, remotely, and sometimes doing a combination of both. This can be a challenge given the ever changing learning environment. As teachers though, we are always finding ways to enrich and excite the students with their learning process. Nearpod is a resource that can do it all in one place! Nearpod is an interactive learning platform that helps to make the learning experience, whether that is at home or school, more engaging for the kids. I am able to put activities, questions, polls, PDFs, videos, and "drawing" features right into my lessons. Students are able to collaboratively share answers or annotate the story we are reading. They can visit places that we only read about through videos and 3D experiences. This resource helps me to meet the needs of all my learners. It also provides excellent data. I can give the students immediate feedback in class based on the activities, as well as use the data later to plan and adapt my future lessons. It has made our transitions from learning at home to school easy for both me and my students! I have been using a trial version of Nearpod and it has completely transformed my classroom. The kids love it and are disappointed when we don't use it. It benefits the students in so many ways and with your help, I would love to be able to continue to provide the students with these resources and experiences!
