Most of my students come from low income households. We have been bouncing back and forth between remote and hybrid learning due to the pandemic.
Most of my students are only 5 and are not able to maneuver a mouse. And, most of them are unable to purchase headphones. They are trying to learn with multiple siblings in the house. Headphones are essential for them to be able to focus. FIve years old have a really hard time using a track pad which is the only option they have on the chrome books that were given to them by the school district. A mouse would be a lifesaver for them to be able to use the resources available to them.
