A team of my EAST students recognized that some of their fellow students pay less attention in class because they have a hard time sitting still. According to the CDC, 9.4% of children are diagnosed with ADHD. Based on our school's 2019 enrollment, that is approximately 106 students.
Approximately 40% of our 9th & 10th grade students are in need of support to raise their math scores. My team wants to make help by getting supplies for our classrooms to help these students manage their energy and improve their focus.
