Students are primarily learning virtually which means that the entire classroom structure has changed. Students need to be able to engage in smooth, virtual lessons facilitated by a teacher who is utilizing multiple applications with seamless transitions.
COVID-19 presented new challenges and needs for both students and teachers. Since we will likely be continuing a form of virtual teaching, it will be helpful to have the resources necessary to run a virtual classroom. One of the unexpected needs is for more screen real estate in order to more effectively facilitate an engaging and rich virtual lesson. I will be able to increase my overall action within the classroom by increasing my screen real estate as an educator. By adding a second monitor, I will be able to see/interact with my virtual class while also displaying lesson-material by sharing from my secondary screen.
