Allowing the kids to have a snack when hungry will help increase their will to learn. My kids are all from low-income homes, so any snack, meal, or anything in between will provide them with a fullness to get them through the day.
These special snacks will also provide a way for me to put together a goody bag to send home on Fridays to give the child a little something to last the weekend. Many of my kids are very grateful to receive all we have to offer. This project will just increase the amount of items I am able to send home.
