These books will be used in our weekly reading lessons. These stories aid in teaching concepts from character traits, main idea, sequencing and much more. I am currently using online books for our lessons, but there is something much more personal and engaging about holding the book in your hands and spending time with each page while reading to the students. Kindergarteners need these story time experiences to help their imaginations grow along with there reading skills and fluency. Modeling good reading is so important for their young minds. Some of my students never have someone read to them or with them at home. This classroom library will allow me to share story time with them whether they be in the classroom with me or learning virtually at home.
