Help me give my students a fresh start to their Fourth-Grade school year. Two-thirds of the students in my school district come from low-income households. This poses a challenge when beginning a new school year. Many are not able to bring the needed supplies to help begin a successful learning year.
I like to start my students off with a pencil box full of materials to use for the school year. In their boxes I like to include a set of flash cards to use for early finishers. I also include a set of dice that they can use to aide in the learning of basic multiplication facts. Each school year the children enjoy having these materials supplied to them and so do the parents!
