My students are behind academically from the pandemic. The last normal year of school year they had was 1st grade. In 2nd grade, they were sent home halfway through the year and then 3rd grade they balanced remote learning and a hybrid option. My students are bright, hard-working, passionate, and loving. I want them to succeed and I have noticed they are struggling with their fast facts. I want to be able to send flashcards home with them so they are able to practice inside and outside of school like other students.
I don't want the burden to be on their families to purchase flashcards. Not all families have the income or time to make even small purchases like these. I know my students will be so excited to have their own, because they already love using the classroom set of flashcards.
