The long-term effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on students' mental health and emotional well-being is yet to be determined which makes it more important than ever to be prepared to support students' behavioral and emotional challenges when they return to the school building after 8 months of being at home.
The items in this project will help students learn and practice mindfulness, self-regulation strategies, and sensory-processing activities. If they need a break from the classroom, they can safely, and with appropriate distance, come to my office to use a strategy that helps them refocus their attention before returning to the classroom to continue learning.
